Life Junkie is about living your life on purpose, in service and choosing the path of love, always!

Part of being a Life Junkie is making conscientious decisions about everything you are surrounded by. We take this to heart and care about what we offer to you.

Our products are cruelty free (only tested on friends, never on animals), vegan, phthalate free, hand poured and made with love in the beautiful sunshiny city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  Because our products are hand-made, it means there may be slight imperfections in your product(s).

I have put together some frequently asked questions that I get to help you stay informed.  If you have a question that you don’t see listed below, please feel free to reach out to info@lifejunkie.ca


What kind of wax is in Life Junkie candles?

We have chosen to use 100% soy in our candles.

Why Soy?

Soy wax is a vegetable wax derived from .. you guessed it, soybean oil. Soy is more environmentally friendly and it is a renewable resource. Soy wax provides a slow burn, meaning you’ll get a candle that lasts longer. Soy wax burns cleaner and results in less soot (than paraffin). Soy is also an excellent carrier of fragrance, without requiring chemical amplifiers to enhance the scent throw and ensuring a well-balanced, true-to-scent candle.

What products and or ingredients are used for Life Junkie candles?

We use premium soy, premium fragrance and or essential oils that are sourced locally and as sustainable as possible. Our products are cruelty and phthalate free and never tested on animals.

Do you use synthetic fragrances?

Life Junkie uses a combination of premium blend man-made and natural fragrances as well as essential oils for our products. All fragrance oils are phthalate free premium oils that are not subject to California Proposition 65 warning requirements.

Using fragrances (in addition to essential oils) allows us to be able to create some unique, fresh and often complex scents that are often more sustainable and allow us to keep products at a reasonable price point. We offer essential oil products only upon request.

What do I do with the gemstone / crystal that is in my candle?

That, my friend, is entirely up to you!! Some people like to take it out as soon as they can and others like to keep it in the candle for the entire time that it is burning. If you choose to keep it in for the entire time the candle burns; that does mean you may need to pay extra attention to the candles when they are burning to ensure that the gemstone doesn’t knock over the wick and extinguish the flame. You will receive a Candle Care Cards; please read it before burning your candle.

Whenever you decide to remove the gemstone, we encourage you to use it during your meditation, carry it with you for good energy or place it somewhere meaningful in your home.

Can the jars / glasses be recycled or reused?

We encourage the recycling and reuse our glassware to help do our part for mother earth. Our glassware can be reused as a storage container for makeup brushes, for a plant, kiddos rooms etc etc.

Our Upcycled line of products reuses glassware and gives it new life. We encourage you to check the bottom of their candle to see if there is a number written on the bottom, noting the number of times that container has come through the Life Junkie workspace.

To clean out your jars: Add hot / boiling water to the candle (or heat the water once it's in the jar) and the wax will melt, causing it to float to the top. Let the jar cool; once it has cooled back down, you can simply apply pressure and it will come out of the container.

  • this is a suggestion only; we are not responsible for damages to containers, your home / space, personal injury or any other situation that arises from cleaning out your old candle jars.

How long do these awesome candles last?

We recommend burning your candle within a year as we do not use preservatives.

Do you offer samples?

Yes! We are happy to provide you a sample with any order over $75. You may either receive a 2 or 4oz candle and or a bath salt to try.

Can I customize a candle or order?

Yes, check out our custom order information. This is dependent on the season, work load, timelines and quantities. Ask about it info@lifejunkie.ca

Can I join the candle a month club?

Yes, we would love to have you! You can sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription.
When you sign up for a 6 and 12 month subscription, you will receive a very special gift. JOIN HERE!

Can I buy a Life Junkie Gift Certificate?

order faq

I placed an order online, now what?

Once you submit your online order; you will receive an email confirmation / receipt. Orders are filled in the order they are received and are usually processed and ready to go out in 2-3 days. If your order is of an urgent nature (oops, you forgot your besties bday), send us an email and we will do our superhumanly best to get this to you when you need it.

Once your order is complete, you will receive an email with the details of where to pick up your candle. We are located in the NW area of Huntington. You will need to email with details of a date and approximate time to pick up and we will leave your order out for you in a bin for a contact-less pickup.

Can I send Life Junkie products as a gift?

Yes! We love the thought of surprising others with special gifts of love! You can customize your candle and send it, or send one that is already made and ready to go.

Can I change my order?

Yes, you can change your order within 48 hours of making it and as long as it has not already gone out to be shipped.

Do you offer wholesale or bulk order price reduction?

Absolutely!!! Check out our stockist page and submit a request. If we feel your space is a good fit for our products, we will send you details of wholesale and timelines.

How long until I get my order? Can I get a rush delivery?

We ship products out dependant on our turnaround time / depending on the time of year (holiday season may require more time). Orders may take up to a week to ship out; you will receive an email confirmation when your order is going out for shipping.

We can expedite shipping as well as can arrange pickup in Calgary.

How long will you keep my order until I can pick it up?

You will have 60 days / two months from the time of purchase to make arrangements to pick up your order. We hope you understand, we are a small, local business and can’t store orders for any extended period of time. If you do not arrange to pick up your order within this time, we will be happy restock it (and no refund will be issued).

Returns / Damaged goodies

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we want to help you get you to a place where you are happy! We are here to help.

Returns Canadian Customers: As we are a small business, we want grow organically and want our customers to be completely happy!! If for any reason you are unhappy with the product(s) that you have purchased, please email us at info@lifejunkie.ca with your order number. and we will see how we can help you.

If a product needs to be returned or exchanged, it must be within 30 days of purchase and in original (unused) condition.

As we are a small business, working to share reduced prices with you, we are unable to cover the costs of returns at this time. We will cover the shipping costs of replacement items and will provide you a special “thank you for your patience” gift.

Damaged Products We do our best to be super heros when we pack your goodies, but accidents happen! If your product damaged when you receive it, please contact us immediately so we can get started on turning that frown upside down.

We may provide you with certain information as a result of your use of the Website including, but not limited to, documentation, data, or information developed by us, and other materials which may assist in the use of the Website or Services ("Company Materials"). The Company Materials may not be used for any other purpose than the use of this Website and the services offered on the Website. Nothing in these Terms of Use may be interpreted as granting any licence of intellectual property rights to you.

4. PAYMENT
When you make a purchase on the Website, you agree to provide a valid instrument to make a payment. Pay attention to the details of the transaction, as your total price may include taxes, fees, and shipping costs, all of which you are responsible for.

When you provide a payment instrument to us, you confirm that you are permitted to use that payment instrument. When you make a payment, you authorize us (and our designated payment processor) to charge the full amount of the payment instrument you designate for the transaction. You also authorize us to collect and store that funding instrument, along with other related transaction information.

If you pay by credit or debit card, we may obtain a preapproval from the issuer of the card for an amount as high as the full price. If you cancel a transaction before completion, this pre-approval may result in those funds not otherwise being immediately available to you.
We may cancel any transaction if we believe the transaction violates these Terms, or if we believe in doing so may prevent financial loss.
In order to prevent financial loss to you or to us, we may contact your funding instrument issuer, law enforcement, or affected third parties (including other users) and share details of any payments you are associated with, if we believe doing so may prevent financial loss or a violation of law.


5. SALE OF GOODS AND SERVICES

We undertake to be as accurate as possible with all information regarding the goods and services, including product descriptions and images. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any product information and you acknowledge and agree that you purchase such products at your own risk.


6. SHIPPING, DELIVERY AND RETURN POLICY
You agree to ensure payment for any items you may purchase from us and you acknowledge and affirm that prices are subject to change. When purchasing a physical good, you agree to provide us with a valid email and shipping address, as well as valid billing information. We reserve the right to reject or cancel an order for any reason, including errors or omissions in the information you provide to us. If we do so after payment has been processed, we will issue a refund to you in the amount of the purchase price. We may also request additional information from you prior to confirming a sale and we reserve the right to place any additional restrictions on the sale of any of our products. For the sale of physical products, we may preauthorize your credit or debit card at the time you place the order or we may simply charge your card upon shipment. You agree to monitor your method of payment. Shipment costs and dates are subject to change from the costs and dates you are quoted due to unforeseen circumstances.

If you are unhappy with anything you have purchased on our Website, you may do the following:

Email us at info@lifejunkie.ca with your invoice /order number and details of the return. Products that are to be exchanged or returned must be done within 30 days of delivery with proof of purchase.          
We do not cover the cost of shipping fees.

7. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to use the Website for any unlawful purpose, or any purpose prohibited under this clause. You agree not to use the Website in any way that could damage the Website, the services or the general business of Life Junkie.          
 You further agree not to use and/or access the Website:

a) To harass, abuse, or threaten others or otherwise violate any person's legal rights;

b) To violate any intellectual property rights of us or any third party;

c) To upload or otherwise disseminate any computer viruses or other software that may damage the property of another;

d) To perpetrate any fraud;

g) To publish or distribute any material that incites violence, hate or discrimination towards any group;

h) To unlawfully gather information about others.

Through your use of the Website, you may provide us with certain information. By using the Website, you authorize us to use your information in Canada and any other country where we may operate.

You are strictly prohibited from using the Website or any of our services for illegal spam activities, including gathering email addresses and personal information from others or sending any mass commercial emails.

We may occasionally post links to third party websites or other services. We are not responsible or liable for any loss or damage caused as a result of your use of any third party services linked to from our Website.


13. VARIATION
To the extent any part or sub-part of these Terms and Conditions is held ineffective or invalid by any court of law, the prior, effective version of these Terms and Conditions be considered enforceable and valid to the fullest extent.


14. SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS
We may need to interrupt your access to the Website to perform maintenance or emergency services on a scheduled or unscheduled basis. You agree that your access to the Website may be affected by unanticipated or unscheduled downtime, for any reason, but that the we will have no liability for any damage or loss caused as a result of such downtime.

Your use of the Website is at your sole and exclusive risk and any services provided by us are on an "as is" basis.
